A brave defender of peace

I am Gashaw Bibani, Kaisa among friends and I am a candidate in the European Parliament elections from the Left Alliance.

My campaign aims to defend peace, human rights, and promote a socially and economically sustainable EU policy. The most important tasks of the European Union are the eradication of conflicts and the stability and unity of the region. At the core of sustainable development are well-being and safety. We can also focus on innovative pioneering by improving them.

An old wisdom says that problems cannot be solved by the same means that caused them. I also rely heavily on this wisdom. Finland and the entire European region has changed and it will change even more. We are facing an unprecedented wave of globalization, the result of which is an ever-changing Europe and the challenges it brings with it.

I have long dreamed of engaging in societal work with visible and impactful effects. Even at a young age, I knew I would someday become a politician, yet I despised politics. For a long time, I tried to deny my calling. I was always a convincing speaker, adept at reading situations, and there was a fire within me that inspired others. Many often reminded me to consider entering politics. I began my journey in activism at a young age. I actively participated in protests and engaged in discussions on issues of equality and human rights. I felt it was important to give a voice to those who were voiceless. After all, I myself had once been a war refugee and had been given a second chance at life. I have never stopped being an activist. It is a significant part of my life.
